    This site is for everyone.

    We want every young person, family, volunteer and supporter to be able to use joinsbnp.org, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, magnifiers or voice control.

    Our goal

    We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, the standard most organizations work to.

    What we have done

    • Every page works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus ring and a “Skip to main content” link.
    • Text meets WCAG contrast levels, including words placed over photos.
    • Forms have labels screen readers can read, tell you clearly what needs fixing, and let your browser fill in your details.
    • Moving content can be paused, and the site follows your device’s “reduce motion” setting.
    • Pages work on phones and when zoomed in to 400%, without scrolling sideways.
    • Philly by the Numbers can be read aloud, switched to Spanish, and shown as tables instead of charts.

    We test with automated checks on every update and by hand with a keyboard. Last reviewed October 16, 2026.

    Checkout on Shopify

    Gifts are completed on our secure Shopify checkout, which Shopify builds and maintains. If anything there gets in your way, contact us and we will take your gift another way.

    Security check on forms

    The contact and volunteer forms use Cloudflare’s security check to stop spam. If it blocks you, email or call us instead.
